Overview
CONSULTORIO DEXEUS S.A. is the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at Instituto Dexeus, a health services company. It is one of Spain’s most important and innovative private groups and combines a vocation for service in the fields of healthcare, teaching and research with a business spirit.

Above all, however, Consultorio Dexeus is a consolidated group of professionals which enjoys a longstanding tradition and great prestige both in Spain and abroad.

The school my father, Dr. Santiago Dexeus Font, founded with the aim of practicing medicine hierarchically so as to allow for swift adaptation to the constant changes arising from medical progress, has been the main objective of CONSULTORIO DEXEUS S.A. throughout the past thirty years.

The original, four-partner team gradually grew as Drs Nolasco Barri, Josep Mallafré, Ramón Labastida and, more recently, Rafael Fábregas, were invited to join, together with countless other outstanding professionals.

Each of these distinguished professionals has contributed to making great advances in the Department and has become renowned in their fields of specialty.

It can therefore be said that the driving force behind CONSULTORIO DEXEUS S.A., as a Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of INSTITUTO DEXEUS, has been our ability to work as a team.

This teamwork has enabled us to avoid individual prominence--an attitude which undoubtedly hinders the progress of medicine--and has made it possible for all of us to take pride in and benefit from the achievements of our colleagues.

We are certain that this principle is one of the most important reasons for our success. Today, almost 70 years after Dr. Santiago Dexeus Font laid the groundwork, Consultorio Dexeus has become one of the best schools of gynaecology and obstetrics in the world.
