Genital mesotherapy is applied to the vulva and vagina to bring elasticity and firmness to the skin and activate microcirculation. In treating vulvovaginal atrophy, it provides hydration, improving dryness and the pain that can result from coital penetration during sexual intercourse.
It is also used to improve the quality of the skin in some dermatological conditions affecting the genital region, such as vulvar lichen sclerosus, and in cases of genital hyperpigmentation as an adjuvant in depigmentation treatments.
It is a very versatile treatment with multiple indications which can be performed on anyone from the age of 18 regardless of their skin type.
What it is
It consists of applying multiple microinjections to the skin and genital mucosa containing carefully chosen active ingredients which act selectively. At our clinic, each patient receives a combination of ingredients that have been custom formulated to address their specific needs.
Although the needles are very thin and barely noticeable, topical or localised anaesthesia is always applied to the vaginal area.
- Mechanical stimulation
The action of the needle causes a physical stimulation that activates the skin’s repair and regeneration mechanisms.
- Action of active substances
Vitamins or other active ingredients administered directly by microinjections ensure the utmost efficacy of the treatment.
- Microdosing
Multiple injection points with small amounts of solution in each one activates a greater number of skin receptors and optimises the capacity to absorb the active substances.
Who is the treatment intended for?
- Vulvovaginal atrophy.
- Poor hydration, vaginal dryness.
- Poor luminosity, flaccidity, sagging of the vulvar skin.
- Painful sexual intercourse.
- Vulvar lichen.
- As a complementary therapy in depigmentation treatments.
Expected outcome
With the right ingredients, it is possible to:
- Improve the elasticity of the skin and mucosa of the vulva and vagina.
- Deeply moisturise.
- Redensify and reduce skin’s laxity.
- Prevent skin oxidation.
- Reduce and prevent genital darkening.
Advantages
The advantages of this treatment are:
- Safe and effective outpatient treatment: clinical evidence guarantees that this is a well-tolerated, effective and safe technique.
- Minimally-invasive technique:intradermal administration is carried out superficially with an ultra-thin needle which is barely perceptible. If the patient is particularly sensitive, an anaesthetic cream can be applied beforehand.
- Immediate recovery: since the treatment is minimally invasive, it has few side effects and there is no recovery time. This means normal activity can be resumed immediately.
